The Golden State Warriors have officially announced their 2026 training camp roster, a list that includes franchise cornerstone Steph Curry and reveals significant churn at the back end of the squad. This comes as the team prepares to open camp in Hawaii.
The roster released by the team includes expected stars like Curry, Draymond Green, and Kristaps Porziņģis. It also features a large group of players on Exhibit 10 contracts, which are non-guaranteed deals often used for camp invites. Names like Dalen Terry, Alex Toohey, and Miles Kelly are among those invites. Guard Nick Boyd was initially part of the group but was waived and replaced by Miles Kelly.
That's a record number for the organization, indicating a wide-open competition for the final roster spots. Social media reaction to the list was mixed, with some fans unfamiliar with many names and others already debating potential starting lineups. One fan suggested a starting five of "Steph Podz Yaxel Gui Porzingis" until Jimmy Butler returns from injury.
The Warriors are in a period of transition. They missed the playoffs last year after a play-in tournament loss, finishing with that 37-45 record. Key injuries played a major part, with Jimmy Butler suffering an ACL tear and Moses Moody dealing with a patellar tendon injury. Head coach Steve Kerr nearly left his position before signing a new two-year contract.
This underlying instability is now visible in the constant roster adjustments. The team recently signed forward Elias Ralph to a camp deal after he worked out for them before the draft. His contract, like Boyd's former deal, includes Exhibit 10 language. This mechanism allows Golden State to later convert the deal to a two-way contract if they choose, offering flexibility.
Training camp is the first step in reversing that trend. The focus will be on integrating new faces, getting healthy, and building cohesion under Kerr.
The core, led by the future Hall of Famer Steph Curry, knows how to win. This group captured four titles between 2015 and 2022. But the work to return to that level begins now in Hawaii, with every player on the camp roster fighting for a role in that comeback story.
