The Golden State Warriors are hopeful to re-sign Kristaps Porzingis on a more cap-friendly deal after absorbing his $30.7 million expiring contract from Atlanta on Deadline Day in February. Porzingis, 30, appeared in just 15 games for the Dubs after being a midseason acquisition, averaging 16.1 points, 5.3 rebounds, and 1.1 blocks per game. On paper, he makes sense as a floor-spacing, rim-protecting big man for the Warriors, but the reality is that injuries and Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome will probably keep Porzingis off the floor for half of the season. At a discounted rate, that's a trade-off the Warriors can make as they look to bolster their roster for the upcoming season. The Kings' former All-Star center, Domantas Sabonis, is another name that league executives are projecting to be made available once again as part of this summer's trade landscape. Sacramento is known to be looking to shed some significant salary if it can this offseason and seems likely to field more interest in Sabonis than other veterans. Meanwhile, Mitchell Robinson, the New York Knicks' backup big man, is expected to draw significant free agent interest this summer, free throw woes be dammed. Fischer listed the Chicago Bulls, Charlotte Hornets, Los Angeles Lakers, and Toronto Raptors as teams that regularly come up in league circles when Robinson's pending free agency is discussed.
