The Golden State Warriors are reportedly 'legitimately interested' in signing LeBron James, who is considering a move from the Los Angeles Lakers. James' preferred choice is to remain with the Lakers, but the Warriors' veteran core, including Stephen Curry, Draymond Green, and Jimmy Butler, could be an attractive option. The Warriors' pitch to James includes the idea that he could commute from Los Angeles to some degree without having to move his family. James and Curry have a history of competing against each other in the NBA Finals, and teaming up with the Warriors would be a full-circle moment for the King. Curry's gravitational pull as arguably the best shooter in NBA history would open up plenty of driving lanes for James, although durability and age would clearly be a concern on a team with those two, Green, and Butler. James will turn 42 next season, Curry will turn 39, Green will turn 37, and Butler will be 37. Asking all of them to play a full season and then the grind of a potentially long playoff run may be too daunting of a task, but there would be no shortage of entertainment for fans as long as they were on the court together.
